About You:

  • Love caring for others, passionate about great care

  • QQI Qualified as a Healthcare Assistant (Minimum requirement is QQI Modules in Care Skills and Care of The Older Person)

  • Good sense of humour 

  • Good communicator, a people person

  • Enjoy working as part of a team

  • Professional approach


About The Role: 

  • Supporting people to live well in their homes as they age, including personal care and wellbeing supports.

  • Work closely with the client’s family, friends, and circles of support as well as any colleagues from health and social care, to make sure that our work is coordinated and effective.

  • Provide safe, person-centred, compassionate care and work within the team agreements and The Great Care Co-op Framework.

  • Be part of a small care team. This means working together, sharing different roles, and creatively solving problems together. 

  • You will provide cover for each other, give each other feedback, and celebrate successes as well. 

  • You will have a Buddy, and you are supported by a Care Coordinator too.

  • With your team you will have responsibility for delivery excellent care to your clients, and agree the team’s schedules with support from the Care Coordinator

  • Keep all information up-to-date, be professional about record keeping, reporting incidents and sharing observations.

  • Be respectful of people's homes, possessions, and any equipment.

  • Keep learning and developing individually and as a team so we can keep improving how we work and grow together.

  • You are able to work one Saturday and Sunday every 4 weeks on rotation with your team
